Catch Wrestling (aka Catch As Catch Can) is a combative form of wrestling primarily formed in Lancashire, a county in the North West of England. This style of wrestling in competition includes falls by pin or by submission, and has directly influenced other grappling styles such as Western Folkstyle wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Sambo. It has also influenced the exhibition showcase entertainment style commonly known as Professional Wrestling.
